Albacete-born designer Edgar Molina, at Valencia Fashion Week EDGAR MOLINA presents his Charlotte collection as part of the VI Valencia Fashion Week

The parade will take place on December 3 at 8:00 p.m. at the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia

Charlotte is a rebellious girl who when she walks she seems to float, letting herself be carried away by the debauchery of New York in the early years of the eighties. She retouches her lips in the mirror of a taxi to get down imposing and drink from the same glasses where the great personalities of Studio 54 shone. Lights and shadows of the disco balls reflected in the jewels and the decadence of the confetti stuck on the sole of shoes and dances until dawn.

In her proposal for her most casual woman to date, there is a duality between exaggerated volumes and cleaner, more fluid lines. Breakthrough combinations, a wide variety of fabrics such as velvet, wild silk, moiré, taffeta, ottoman, organza and pailletes. In the guest line, the color black predominates along with soft tones such as mauve and vibrant ones such as fuchsia. For its part, the bridal proposals follow the same philosophy of the collection, presenting different options for the most daring brides with the common denominator of classicism in all the looks; prevailing brocades, raffia, tweed and pleats.

In short, Charlotte represents all those women who don't mind spilling champagne on their dress at parties.

Biography

Edgar Molina (Albacete, 1992) was born into a family linked to sewing. His paternal great-grandmother was the owner of a well-known workshop in Albacete that had 13 seamstresses and two apprentices. Among his clients were the wives of soldiers from the Los Llanos International Air Base and ladies from Albacete society.

From an early age Edgar showed interest in the world of sewing. Very young, he settled in Valencia to train in fashion design at the EASD (Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny de València). After finishing his studies he moved to Madrid, where he began to work with Teresa Palazuelo.

In 2018 he starts his own solo firm specializing in brides and guests. Since then, he has dressed the singer India Martínez and the actress María Pedraza. Through his Instagram account, Lady Gaga's stylists contacted him showing interest in his designs.

The philosophy of his brand is based on traditional haute couture techniques, a taste for quality raw materials and exquisite hand-made finishes.
