As they acknowledge, "the nets have existed since the first fisherman", a job that requires thoroughness, strong hands and a deep love and dedication for the trade. Her grandmothers, mothers and aunts were her true mentors, a trade that has been passed down from generation to generation and has survived to this day, although this work currently has little visibility and recognition. In fact, the latter is not new, since in the past it was not paid work either; women whose husbands, brothers or sons owned a boat, were in charge of sewing the broken nets.
