And the fact is that his 'chapa' is not in vain, since he is known in the world of music as 'Camilo baladas', a nickname that was given to him several years ago by announcers from the city, who have always given him consulted for exact data and that he, given his prodigious memory, always gives them.

In fact, his career as a collector began at the age of 13, but with the particularity that he did not have a record player: “I bought my first acetate, but I had nowhere to listen to it (laughs), so I just saved and In the early 90s I was able to do it.

“This culture does not tend to disappear; On the contrary, now the record labels have been measured again to produce LPs, including bands from other genres as well. (...) I remember exact dates, record labels, albums, and other data that have led me to reaffirm that title of 'Camilo baladas' here in Ibagué, I hope there are many more, here in the city we can be counted on the fingers of hands," he concluded.
