On the radar of the markets

Prudence continues to set the tone for the markets. On the front, the same doubts that eroded the markets in recent sessions remain: the monetary policy decisions of the Federal Reserve (Fed) and the escalation of geopolitical tensions.

🏦 The US central bank starts today the meeting that must define the bases of a rate hike starting in March. It should also confirm the reduction of its balance sheet by the end of this year. The prospect of a cycle of rising money prices and the possibility that the Fed will stop refinancing maturing debt shake the markets.

🪖 The risk of an imminent military confrontation also clouds the outlook . Russia shows no sign of relenting, the United States has ordered relatives of diplomats to leave Ukraine, and the Pentagon has put 8,500 troops on high alert for deployment to bolster NATO forces in Eastern Europe in the event of a need.
