Can luxury and circularity converge in the same place?

(Re)VogueGet to know the platform that gives access to the best brand and designer pieces but, above all, allows you to buy decoration and circular fashion.

Luxe by EM is a Colombian platform that was born from understanding two questions: the first, what happens to all the clothes or pieces that designers cannot sell? Second, what happens to all those garments from previous collections or those prototypes that were once used for a photoshoot or catwalk?

Well, the answer to those initial questions is, specifically, something known as dead stock or dead stock of a brand. In general, all those pieces that decide not to be used in a collection are kept for many years, without any type of use and generating very high costs for firms and designers by having to store all those garments or objects. So what happens to all that dead stock? Where is he going?

Today we are in a global moment where the excess production of clothing and objects is growing by leaps and bounds, but – at the same time – questions, ideas and new ventures full of creativity and innovation also come to help save the planet. . Therefore, Luxe by EM arises to give a second chance or, rather, a first chance to things that have never been used, in order to slow down the excessive production of objects, pieces and clothing.

My great obsession with fashion, design, style and the possibility of acquiring pieces and garments under the concept of circularity, led me to create Luxe by EM, a platform focused on luxury and environmental responsibility, where – In addition, brands such as Johanna Ortiz, Silvia Tcherassi, Olga Piedrahíta and Maison Alma have been part of it.

Thus, with the purpose of continuing to promote circularity, Luxe by EM will venture into the sale of dead stock of decorative objects and furniture. This week (from September 2 to 5 in Bogotá, Colombia) an edition dedicated to circular design and decoration will be presented together with Ana María Zuluaga as curator and stylist of this great project.

For this, a rigorous work was done, where international brands –such as Spazio W such as Vitra, Knoll, Cassina, Cappellini and Ligne Roset, among others– and Colombian firms –such as Verdi, Folies, De La Rocha, Ochoinfinito and the artist Juanita Echeverry– will be part. In short, a specific selection was made from the dead stock of all these brands, with the sole purpose of offering visitors the possibility of acquiring stylish designs at more affordable prices and, above all, giving them the opportunity to buy objects in a circular fashion. that were useless and saved.

Attendees will be able to enjoy the most delicious decoration styling made by Ana María Zuluaga. You can find from iconic pieces such as a sofa by designer Jean Marie Massaud or the classic and iconic Bird Chaiselounge Chair.

In addition, there will also be a unique selection of garments by designer Johanna Ortiz, so that customers can enjoy not only a wonderful collection of design and decoration, but also circular fashion.

Without a doubt, Luxe by EM becomes a proposal with a powerful component of circular design and fashion and, consequently, of sustainability.
