Texas prohibits companies exporting natural gas
The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, issued an order yesterday in which it prohibits the companies producing natural gas in the state to export fuel until February 22.In response, the Mexican government contacted that of the United States to seek a solution to the problem of natural gas supply that keeps millions of users and productive activities on both sides of the border without energy.
"I issued an order by requiring that producers who have been sending outside Texas in their place sell that gas to Texas energy generators," said Abbott, who seeks to restore electricity to more than 2.7 million users in that state that remain without service since Monday because of the effects of a cold front.
