Yeezy x GAP: release date and everything we know about Kanye West's new creation

Kanye West has been busy since the Yeezy x GAP announcement last summer. The rapper-designer ran a turbulent presidential campaign that never got off the ground, relocated entirely from Calabasas to his ranch in Wyoming, and is going through a divorce from his wife Kim Kardashian. Despite all this, GAP's next collection - whose first installment is scheduled for the next few months - is miraculously well on its way.
Unlike the news about his personal life that is published on TMZ, the news about the Yeezy x GAP collection has been distributed in more discreet packages. The biggest news is hidden in investor calls or internal (but recently leaked) documents. Although each piece of news seems small, putting it all together makes for a pretty complete picture of the upcoming collaboration. That's all we know right now about Kanye West's collection with GAP.
How is Yeezy x GAP?
If you've followed any of Kanye's fashion projects, you'll have a pretty good idea of what the Yeezy x GAP collection looks like. If the first leaked images are correct, the clothes look a lot like Yeezy's previous collections, which themselves are made up of items Kanye has been wearing for years. He thinks of boxy, comfortable basics like hoodies in dusty neutrals, or that royal blue hue he's clearly in love with (and that he wore on a GQ cover). Much like the style Kanye West has been wearing, the hoodies seem to be made without kangaroo pockets.
However, the first image Kanye posted as a preview of the collection shows more than just hoodies. Jackets, bags, and—because this is still Gap—even chinos—seem to be on deck in slightly brighter colors than typical Yeezy.
