Cristina, the fashion lover from Vitoria who never leaves the house without heels and a matching bag

SARA LOPEZ OF PARIS

Cristina Grisaleña has always liked fashion, from a very young age. “When I was a child, my mother suffered from a degenerative disease and she could hardly ever accompany me to buy clothes. So she went with my father, who hated going to the shops, but it didn't matter, I already knew what he wore and what I liked. As a teenager I used to go alone and buy myself little things with my monthly pay”, recalls this Vitorian, worker of an Accident Mutual. More than 43,000 people follow her on the social network Instagram (@crisxtyle), where she shares her colorful looks in which a matching bag and heels are never missing.

"I think I have a very feminine style and they say that I transmit elegance in my way of dressing," reflects Cristina. "A friend of mine tells me that I turn any ordinary, cheap garment into a luxury product by combining it with style... I think she exaggerates." The bags are protagonists in her 'outfits', in her wardrobe she has more than thirty and although some are already old she does not want to part with them. For each garment, Cristina has the perfect bag. "For my day-to-day life I like 'shopping bags', and on weekends I usually use smaller ones."

In her photos, it is practically impossible to find her with a flat shoe. And it's not a pose, this 'instagramer' ensures that she wears heels every day. “I think I don't know how to walk without them anymore. I usually go to work by bike and I wear heels and if I walk, I'll have about 40 minutes, too. I have feet of iron. Among the basics that cannot be missing from her wardrobe are some tight jeans and a white t-shirt, she also declares herself a fan of the combination of both garments. She finished off with some nice heels, of course. She also loves to dress colorful.

Regarding her 43,000 followers and how she has reached them, Cristina points out that "constancy and uploading careful content have a lot to do with it." To that we must add the interaction with the followers to grow little by little. “I have made great friends and friends. One day when I've posted later than usual, some 'follower' has even sent me a direct message asking if something was wrong... I think what people on my account like is that I'm a very normal girl, no I am no young and perfect diva, and they can identify with me ». She is not perfect, of course, but she takes great care of her image. “I love being well put together. I cannot leave the house in any way, not even to go buy bread».

To take the photos, Cristina has a faithful assistant who is none other than her husband. “I love doing them in the Casco Viejo because it is beautiful, but I try to do it at times when there is not much traffic,” she says. And if she has to stay with a place to portray her looks, that is the Plaza del Machete, she «she has a special light». «I always take the photos on weekends because I don't have time during the week and since I do several looks on the same day I change in the car. Luckily it has dark glasses, "laughs 'this influencer'.

A trend you would never wear? "Formless XXL clothes don't flatter me at all." In fact, if she one day opts for more extensive garments, she usually does it by combining them with a belt or some other element that stylizes her figure. As for beauty, the wide and bushy eyebrows that have become so fashionable in recent times is something that does not go with her either. After the explosion of the pandemic, Cristina buys a good part of her clothes online and is a consumer of stores such as Zara, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear or Bershka. "I know that this last one has very youthful clothes, but even though I'm my age, I like to dress like that," this mother tells us. She also trusts local businesses, such as Triummoda in Vitoria. "The treatment is unbeatable and the reality price too."
