A young man denounces having been kidnapped to force him to settle a debt in Mallorca

The Civil Guard of Santanyí has arrested four young people - some boys and one girl, all usual criminals - to kidnap another, who retained, assaulted and stole at their home to charge a supposed debt.The victim admitted to the researchers that he had already paid them 2.000 euros, but still claimed more money.The young man said they approached him in the street and put him in the trunk of a car, with which he was taken home.Once there they threatened and beaten to give them the money they claimed, and they took money and jewels of their parents.
The kidnapping occurred on November 13 at four in the afternoon in the street Celler de Santanyí.The victim, a 22 -year -old boy, was approached by the group, who forced him to get into the trunk of a car.From there they went to the young man, where they had him retained while claiming the money he allegedly owed them.
The kidnappers threatened and beat him.They registered the house and stole several jewels and money they found.They also took the mobile phone, wallet and keys to the victim's home.Finally they left and left the free young man.
The victim was very scared, so it took three days to file the complaint.On November 16, he finally presented himself at the Civil Guard Barracks of Santanyí and explained what had happened to him.
In his statement he said that he had contracted a debt with the aggressors that increased continuously, which had prevented him from paying off.He said he had already delivered 2.000 euros, but they still demanding money.The young man was very scared of reprisals that the aggressors could take in the future.
Arrested days later
The town's Civil Guard began an investigation and during the following days it was arrested the suspects.They were four young people, three men, 24, 28 and 30 years old, and a woman of 23.This is a group of usual criminals known in the area, all with different police records, some for violent crimes.
The four were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of coercion and another of robbery with violence and intimidation.The detainees were made available to the Manacor Guard Court.
